I'm not a fearful person, don't suffer from anxiety,
but lately I feel the weight of expectations. I think my back might break. For the first time, I look around and it's the outside world that's got me down.
I'm thinking to myself: is there a way back up from here?

I am still holding onto a world that only exists in memories.

Say you want accountability.
Take some responsibility for anything you say or do,

Some people buy their time with pain.
Some will say there aren't enough hours in the day.
When they say goodbye, they go with regret and shame.
Some moths just need a brighter flame.
For better, or for worse, is what they'll say. Family or feeling free.
A sense of purpose is all that we need, but it doesn't have to go that way. Some will spend their lives avoiding shame.
Some will not allow their minds to lead them astray.
They'll look back at all they've built, and leave it just the same.

They'll occupy each hour in the day. Community. Priorities.

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!!
